This would be a 5 star review except for a few things. I am a handy person and was able to figure out the install. However, the instructions were lacking. I feel that a few video tutorials would be helpful. I understand that everyone’s door and existing locks are different. I had to modify my lock with a Dremel tool in order to get it to work properly. This to me is an engineering flaw. On the positive, the quality is very good and it seems to operate perfectly. I like the option of keypad, key fob or fingerprint. Tech support understood the issue I was having right away.

Camilio Ferro was exceptional throughout the process. When purchasing a $700 lock, that goes on an $8,000 door that required slight modifications to the door and that operate not only the deadbolt that moves horizontally but two vertical deadbolts, I was extremely apprehensive. Not only did Camilio take the time to thoroughly review my options and confirm that I was ordering the right lock, he called back after installation to make sure that everything had gone well. This is the customer service we all hope for and really receive. As far as the walk itself, if you are looking for a Pella door lock that truly operates the mechanism as it should, this is the one! The fingerprint sensor takes only a minute to set up for any user and the best part is the door unlocks in less than a second with the natural grasp and thumb touch. The fact that we no longer have to separately spin a lock from the inside because this smart lock automatically engages the lock from the outside is both convenient and an incredible safety feature that could save my family in case of a fire. Bravo to the connected lock team for putting this exceptional product out there. I have been searching for over a year

Moises at the Connected Shop consistently provides extraordinary support, from helping with difficult lock projects to actually remembering his phone customers two years later. I cannot thank him and his team enough for their expertise, patience, professionalism, and ongoing support. It is so reassuring to talk to a knowledgeable person instead of being directed by AI to manual or a webpage. As for the smart door lock, itself – perfect on my sliding glass door. Very sturdy, easy to use, very secure, and backed by a one year warranty (you can add two more years, as well). Just turned out I didn't have the problem I thought I had, but Moises and his tech team were on it in five minutes. On a scale of 1 to 10 stars, this team gets an 11.

The overall experience went smooth . The connected shop referred me a locksmith to complete the job after I gave up installing. It took the locksmith 2 hours . A1 locksmith charged me $1350. Labor only. The minor modifications was drilling 3 new holes through the door for top and bottom mounting screws and 3rd hole to pass the electrical wire . Downloading the instructions and programming was user friendly. The only thing I would recommend to improve on is that thumb reader doesn’t work wet in the rain so remember your 6 digit password or dry your thumb. T. D.

I ordered the smart door lock slim and installed on a Pella lifestyle series multi point exterior door. The process was great from start to finish. I did the guided video install with Dimitris and Malcolm and they were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about how to install the lock on my particular Pella door. The smart lock works fantastic, looks fantastic, and most importantly the customer is extremely happy. Will definitely use this product again on future projects!
